Movius is committed to maintaining your privacy. We believe that you are entitled to know how Movius will collect, use, and protect the personal information you give us. This policy describes how we collect and may disclose personal information, including the following: what personal information we collect from you, how we use your information, how long we maintain your information, when and to whom we disclose your information, how we restrict our use of your information for marketing purposes, and how we protect your rights concerning your information and its disclosure.

The MultiLine Application, which is used with the MultiLine Service, is a software application owned by Movius Interactive Corporation.  Movius resells its MultiLine Service via companies such a T-Mobile and Singtel. Resellers of the MultiLine Service sell the MultiLine Service to enterprise customers whose employees then use the MultiLine Service via this MultiLine Application.  You may provide personal information to Movius via the MultiLine Application and by use of the MultiLine Service.

Your use of Movius’ website is considered to be the use of a “service” provided by Movius for purposes of this policy, and, accordingly, the terms in this policy apply to Movius’ use of your personal information that is collected when you use Movius’ website.

Unless applicable laws or regulations (such as GDPR for residents of the EU) require you to contact another person or legal entity (such as your service administrator under GDPR), if you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, please contact dpo@moviuscorp.com.

SCOPE

This Privacy Policy describes for our Customer’s subscribers for Movius’ MultiLine Service and for users of Movius’ website the following:

  • What personal information we collect from you.
  • What personal information our third-party service providers collect.
  • What organizations collect the information.
  • How the information is used.
  • With whom the information may be shared.
  • How long information is retained.
  • What choices are available to you regarding how we collect, use, and distribute the information.
  • What security procedures are in place to protect information under Movius’ control.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

TREATMENT OF INFORMATION

Information Collected When We Provide You With Services

Movius collects certain information from you in connection with providing you with services via a mobile application. Movius is authorized to collect the personal information that we need to provide you services, including diagnostic information to resolve issues with your use of the Movius services. We are prohibited from collecting your personal information for any other purpose without your consent; however, please be aware that we provide the service to you with the help of business partners and we may share some or all of your personal information with such business partners solely for their use in providing one or more aspects of the service, including billing you for the service. (See the next section for a list of authorized uses of your personal information.)

When you establish an account for services, we collect information such as your name, email address, physical address and telephone number, as well as information used for credit checks, billing, and payment, and other information we may need to establish and service your account or that our business partners may need in connection with their providing a portion or aspect of the service. When you first request your services, and when you request any changes or updates to your services, Movius may collect information about the service options that you have chosen. Movius may also collect your personal information when you communicate with us: for example, if you ask for support or maintenance, send us e-mails, respond to our surveys or e-mails, engage in chat sessions with us, register for information, or participate in promotions or contests.  When you use Movius’ website, in addition to the above information, Movius will, via the third-party service provider RollWorks/NextRoll, collect hashed identifiers derived from your email address for purposes of cross-device tracking for targeted advertising.  This targeted advertising may be for Movius or it may be for any client of RollWorks/NextRoll.

How We Use and Disclose Your Information

Movius considers the personal information contained in our business records to be confidential. However, Movius is authorized to disclose your personal information for three general purposes:

First, we may be required by law or legal process to disclose information to law enforcement personnel or to other parties in connection with litigation (as described below in this Privacy Policy). Second, we may disclose the names and addresses of website users, customers, and subscribers for business related purposes, such as marketing. Third, we may disclose information necessary to provide your services. For example, Movius may use your personal information in order to install, configure, operate, support, and maintain your services, including but not limited to these purposes:

  • provide your services;
  • customize your services;
  • configure service-related devices;
  • account security;
  • bill for your services;
  • to provide customer service and support;
  • manage the network supporting your services;
  • make you aware of new products or services that may be of interest to you;
  • service improvements;
  • detect use or abuse of your services;
  • compliance with policies or terms of service; and
  • marketing to customers and potential customers.

Movius may use your information for any of the above purposes, for business activities and needs.

MultiLine prioritizes user privacy and only utilizes personal information for essential functions and legal requirements. Here’s a breakdown of our data usage policies:

Business Needs:  MultiLine will utilize the contact by users to fulfill business needs. For instance, when displaying caller ID, the MultiLine will transmit the contact information to the MultiLine server to create a caller ID, the application requires access to your contact information to create an application contact. This ensures that when you receive a call, the caller’s identity is accurately displayed, enhancing user experience and convenience.

Contact List Access:  MultiLine has the capability to access your device contact list and third-party platforms like Microsoft Outlook contacts. We do not exploit or share your contact information for any purposes beyond what is necessary for the functioning of the caller ID feature. Additionally, it’s important to note that neither the users nor any external entities, including individuals associated with MultiLine, have unauthorized access to this data. We will never contact anyone in your address book.

Information associated with MultiLine for a licensed user may include the user’s name, display name, picture, image, email address, and phone number provided by the user and/or their Organization. As part of your MultiLine experience, you can add profile photos for your contacts. These contact photos are only visible to you. When you call or send a message to your contact, the profile photo you have selected for them will not be visible to them. Similarly, if you send a group message, the profile photo will not be visible to group participants. MultiLine does not store the contact’s photos, this information is synchronized back to your selected source in “Contact Syncing”. For example, “Sync with Exchange Contacts” or “Sync with Device Contacts”.

Disclosure of Personal Information: In compliance with legal obligations and to enhance emergency response capabilities, MultiLine may disclose personal information in specific scenarios. This includes situations related to Caller ID functionality and emergencies such as 911/E911 calls, where the transmission of essential information is critical for public safety. In such cases, your name and/or telephone number may be transmitted to Emergency service providers, unless you opt to block such information. Furthermore, for E911 services, which are relevant in applicable countries, MultiLine may provide your name, address, and telephone number to public safety authorities and Emergency service providers.

By adhering to these principles and practices, MultiLine is committed to safeguarding user privacy while also fulfilling necessary functionalities and legal obligations.

Audio/Photos/Images: Accessing device camera and / or photo gallery if you choose to share photos or media with your MultiLine contacts or use features like add a profile photo for your contacts. 

Content generated in messages may include audio, images, and photos, depending on the user’s settings and what the user chooses to share on MultiLine. We do not share your content with any external party for any purpose.

We sometimes disclose your personal information to our affiliates, to our employees for Movius’ internal business purposes, as well as to outside auditors, professional advisors and service providers, potential business partners (including resellers of the MultiLine Service), and regulators. Typically, we make these disclosures only when the disclosure is necessary to provide your services or other services to you or to conduct a legitimate business activity related to them.  We will also disclose certain of your personal information to third-party service providers who provide marketing-related functionality and who provide services in connection with the use of Movius’ website.  See the section below entitled “Collection of Users’ Hashed Emails and Other User Identifiers Derived from Email Addresses” for a description of how hashed emails and other identifiers may be used by third parties for advertising and other purposes.   Other than this third party use, Movius will not sell your personal information to any third party.

Information Collected on Use of Your Services

When you use your services, Movius may transmit information about you over our network. We transmit this information in order to provide your services. We will not listen to your outgoing or incoming calls or to your voicemail, but we may store information about the date and time of your calls for billing or compliance purposes. We could be required to disclose this information and messages along with other personal information about you to comply with law enforcement or legal process. We may also monitor and/or record the performance of our Services, or perform diagnostics, in order to manage, maintain, repair, and improve your services. For the purposes of training and/or quality assurance we may monitor and record your communications with Movius employees.

Third-Party Service Providers

We may contract with third parties, joint venture partners and independent contractors to provide specific services and features for your services.

  • If these third parties provide services to you in connection with the MultiLine Service, they will collect, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with Movius’ Privacy and CPNI Policies. If, however, you become a direct customer of these third parties, then you will be subject to their terms of service and privacy policies. Movius recommends that you carefully read their terms of service and policies to understand how they may use personal information about you.
  • If these third parties provide services to Movius in connection with your use of Movius’ website, they will collect, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with their terms of service and privacy policies. If such third parties provide your personal information to Movius, Moivus will disclose and protect such personal information in accordance with this policy.  Movius recommends that you carefully read the terms of service and policies of these third parties to understand how they may use personal information about you.

Business Transitions

In the event Movius (or any of its affiliates) enters into a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer information as part of the transaction. If, as a result of the business transition, the Privacy Policy and the accompanying CPNI Policy are changed, you can find those changes in the places indicated in the “Notification of Changes to this Policy” section below.

Software and Configuration

Movius may use information that you provide to assist you with technical support, by collecting and maintaining your information in support software tools and diagnostic tools. The information collected in the support and diagnostic tools is available only to authorized personnel for maintaining and supporting the use of your services. Movius may also provide customer contact and support pages that you can use to communicate with Movius about technical support. Movius uses the information provided by you on these pages to support your use of your services.

Movius may also provide software directly or through third parties for your use in connection with your services. These programs may be subject to their own terms of service and other policies. Movius recommends that you carefully read their terms and policies to understand how they may use your personal information.

In certain cases, Movius may configure your Service or Service-related equipment to resolve a technical support issue or otherwise render or deliver your service. Movius may perform these configurations at your request; we may do so at your location or remotely.

Preferences

We may store information that you provide to personalize your settings so that you do not have to change these settings each time you use your services. We do not share your preferences with third parties except for service providers or other third parties who may provide certain components of your services.

Cookies and Web Beacons

For Movius’ MultiLine Service, Movius may use cookies to customize its MultiLine Service, but Movius does not use web beacons in connection with its MultiLine Service. Cookies are small files stored on your mobile device to simplify and improve your experience. For instance, Movius may use cookies to provide access to the portal for the MultiLine Service during an active session, to securely encrypt passwords sent to the server, and to remember the user’s language on the login page.

For Movius’ website, Movius may use Movius cookies and web beacons, and third-party cookies and web beacons, in connection with your use of Movius’ website, as described below. A “cookie” is a small file, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a website’s computer and is stored on your computer’s hard drive or on your mobile device. A “web beacon” is an often-transparent graphic image, usually no larger than 1-pixel x 1-pixel, that is placed on a website that is used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the website. A web beacon is often used in combination with cookies.

Most, if not all, modern Internet browsers allow you to control your cookie settings. These settings are usually accessed in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ section of your browser. On your mobile device, go to Settings, then go to the specific web-browser, and then to the Cookies section. Please note that certain features of Movius’ website will not be available once cookies are disabled. Four categories of cookies and web beacons are used by Movius via its website. Specifically, Movius uses essential, performance, functionality, and advertising cookies and web beacons on its website.

  • Essential cookies and web beacons are necessary for the operation of Movius’ website. These tracking technologies enable you to move around on Movius’ website and use features of Movius’s website. You may not opt-out of these types of cookies and web beacons because they are required to operate Moivus’ website.
  • Performance cookies and web beacons collect information about how you have used Movius’ website. We use performance cookies and web beacons to improve the user experience within Moivus’ website, including displaying content to you that is most relevant to you.
  • Functionality cookies and web beacons allow us to remember how you are logged into Movius’ website when you logged in or out and the actions you have taken while you have been logged into Movius’ website.
  • Advertising cookies and web beacons are used by our third-party service providers to deliver advertising to you on other third-party websites as well as help measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. We also use these types of cookies or web beacons to analyze visits to Movius’ website and ad conversions from third-party websites.

This Policy covers the use of cookies and web beacons by Movius on Movius’ website.

Listed below are some third-party service providers that are currently used by Movius on its website.  Movius may provide certain of your personal information to any or all of these third-party service providers for them to provide services to Movius.  This list is subject to change without notice and this list does not necessarily include all third-party services providers that Movius uses for its website at any given time.

  • Rollworks/NextRoll: We use Rollworks/NextRoll to track advertisements and measure website visits and conversions. Collection of Users’ Hashed Emails and Other User Identifiers Derived from Email Addresses

If a user provides any email addresses via Movius’ website, such email addresses will be hashed, stored, and combined with other identifiers for cross-device recognition purposes and targeted advertising and measurement and analytics by NextRoll, Inc., a third-party service provider to Movius.  For clarity, such hashed emails and other user identifiers will be owned by NextRoll and not by Movius, and Movius will have no control over how NextRoll uses such Hashed emails and other user identifiers.  By using Movius’ website, you consent to such use by NextRoll, Inc.

Opting Out of Personal Data Collection By Third Parties

You can decline to have your personal data collected by third-party service providers by navigating to the settings feature in your browser and declining all third party cookies or declining third party cookies from specific sites, or, for mobile, limiting ad tracking or resetting the advertiser identifier via the privacy settings on your mobile device.  Certain third-party service providers may use non-cookie technologies that may not be impacted by browser settings that block cookies, but you can opt-out from receiving interest-based advertising (including ads served using non-cookie technologies) through the following tools:

Notice Concerning Do Not Track Requests

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that a user may be able to set in the users’ web browser. Movius does not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT requests from web browsers.

Legal Disclaimer

We make every reasonable effort to protect customer and subscriber privacy as described in this Privacy Policy. Nevertheless, we may be required by law to disclose personal information about a customer or subscriber without his or her consent and without notice in order to comply with a valid legal process such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. We may also use or disclose personal information about you without your consent to protect our customers, employees, or property, in emergency situations, to enforce our rights in court or elsewhere, or directly with you, and for violations of the Service’s terms of service and policies.

Special Offers and Updates

We may send new subscribers a welcome message and sometimes other information by e-mail. Subscribers who would like to receive information via e-mail from us about other products, services, special offers, and promotions (collectively “Marketing Offers”) may do so. If you receive any email from Movius after your initial welcome message which offers you a Marketing Offer from Movius and you do not wish to receive any future Marketing Offers from Movius, simply click on the “opt-out” option at the bottom of the email, and you will not receive any future Marketing Offers from Movius. However, you cannot opt-out of receiving the service announcements described in the section below.

Service Announcements

We send subscribers service-related announcements from time to time. For example, we may send you an e-mail announcement about a pricing change, a change in operating policies, or new features of your service. You may not opt-out of these service-related communications.

Customer Service

We communicate with you to provide requested services and support for questions and issues relating to your account. We will reply to your requests for customer service by e-mail, phone, discussion forum, or through any other reasonable means.

LINKS FROM MOVIUS’ WEBSITE

If you access and utilize Movius’ website at www.movius.ai, the website may contain links to other websites. Some of these websites may be co-branded with Movius and may look like part of the Movius website, but Movius is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage you to be aware that the privacy policies described here do not apply when you leave the Movius website and we recommend that you read the privacy policies of every website that collects personal information about you, whether the site is co-branded with Movius or not.

SECURITY

Movius takes the security of our customers’ and subscribers’ personal information seriously. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your personal information from unauthorized access to it. However, we cannot guarantee that these practices will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose personal information.

CORRECTING AND ACCESSING INFORMATION

Unless applicable laws or regulations (such as GDPR for residents of the EU) require you to contact another person or legal entity (such as your service administrator under GDPR), if your personal information changes, you may update the records by contacting dpo@moviuscorp.com.

You may contact us at dpo@moviuscorp.com to find out what personal information Movius has collected about you or if you wish to delete personal information collected, stored, and used in connection with Movius’ website.  To ensure that our records are accurate, you may examine and copy personal information we collect and maintain relating to you upon reasonable notice during regular business hours. If you wish to inspect those records, please contact us by email at dpo@moviuscorp.com, to arrange an appointment (or, if applicable laws or regulations (such as GDPR for residents of the EU) require you to contact another person or legal entity (such as your service administrator under GDPR), please contact such person or legal entity in accordance with such laws or regulations). We will need a reasonable period of time (usually not more than 45 days) to locate and, if necessary, prepare the information for your review. You will only be permitted to examine records that contain information about you and no one else. Please note that, unless otherwise required by applicable laws or regulations, we may be unable to provide you with records without a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. If allowed under applicable laws and regulations, Movius reserves the right to charge a fee for the production of any documents that you request.  Also, Movius will provide such information no more than twice per year, unless required by applicable laws or regulations to provide more often.

We will correct our records on a going-forward basis when the personal information we have collected about you is inaccurate. Please note: it is not possible for us to correct information appearing in our or our vendors’ directory lists until the next available publication of those directory lists. Further, we may have no control over information appearing in the directory lists or directory assistance services of directory publishers or directory assistance providers not affiliated with Movius.

If you exercise any of your rights under this section, Movius will not discriminate against you in connection with any goods or services routinely sold by Movius to individuals like you.

RETENTION OF INFORMATION

Movius maintains your personal information in our regular business records while you are a customer or subscriber of your services. We may also maintain this information for a period of time after you are no longer a customer or subscriber if the information is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to satisfy legal requirements. These purposes typically include business, legal, or tax purposes. If there are no pending requests, orders, or court orders for access to this personal information, we may destroy the information after it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. If required by applicable laws or regulations, Movius will delete your personal information from our databases when you (a) request deletion of personal information (other than personal information collected via the MultiLine Services) by contacting us at dpo@moviuscorp.com; or (b) as to personal information collected via the MultiLine Service, turn off permission to use your personal information in the Privacy Settings section of the MultiLine Application and, if required under applicable laws and regulations, also contact your service administrator to ensure your administrator deletes your account. Please note that we may be unable to provide the Movius services to you after the deletion of your personal information from our databases.  Also, please note that any information that we have obtained about you may remain in backup storage for some period of time after a deletion request or after a retention period has expired. This may be the case even though we will not use such information. Any data we are required to retain for regulatory purposes will not be deleted.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change this Privacy Policy or the CPNI Policy below, we will post those changes on “http://new2024.movius.ai/privacy-policy” and “http://new2024.movius.ai/cpni-policy” respectively, or in other places we deem appropriate, so that you can be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If you decide to continue receiving your services after we make any changes to this Privacy Policy or the CPNI Policy, you shall be deemed to have given express consent to the changes in the revised policy.
